Many years ago, the remarkable Jan Carsner embarked on a journey that would touch the hearts of many. She founded this cherished Community Dinner, driven by her unwavering dedication to God and her profound commitment to serving others. In her own beautiful way, she followed in the footsteps of Jesus, spreading love and grace through the simple yet powerful act of feeding those around her.
Even during the challenging times of the pandemic, Jan's spirit shone brightly. Undeterred by the obstacles posed by COVID-19, she and her devoted crew prepared an astounding 100-150 sack lunches each week, delivering nourishment and hope throughout Tacoma. Her selfless efforts transformed lives and created a ripple of kindness that will be felt for years to come.
