Community Computer Use Policy This computer is provided as a free resource for community members. To keep it safe, welcoming, and useful for everyone, please follow the guidelines below. ✅ Permitted Use Accessing email, job applications, schoolwork, and educational resources. Searching for information, news, and community services. Creating and printing resumes, letters, and other professional documents. Using word processors, spreadsheets, or similar productivity tools. Accessing social media responsibly. General browsing for entertainment, provided it does not violate rules below. ❌ Prohibited Use Adult or sexually explicit content: Viewing, downloading, or sharing pornography or obscene material is strictly forbidden. Illegal activities: Hacking, piracy, gambling, or any activity against the law. Harassment: Using the computer to bully, stalk, or harass others online. Malicious software: Attempting to install, download, or spread viruses, spyware, or other harmful programs. Changes to settings: Modifying system configurations, deleting files, or installing unauthorized software. Commercial misuse: Running a business or mass marketing campaigns. General Guidelines Limit your session if others are waiting (suggested: 1 hour). Save your files to your own drive/cloud—files left on the computer may be deleted. Be respectful of shared space: keep volume low, no food or drinks near the computer. Report any technical problems or inappropriate use to staff/volunteers immediately. Consequences: Violating this policy may result in immediate loss of computer privileges. Serious violations may be reported to appropriate authorities.
